Nic Been
Area Director of NW Wisconsin
Nic Been
grew up on a small dairy farm in Spring Green, Wisconsin, raised by a faith-filled family who demonstrated God’s love and grace through serving others. His family was all about farm work, sports, church, and helping others. For much of his life, Nic thought his acceptance was tied to performance, which continually left him striving for accomplishment—although he recognized God’s unconditional love through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. That realization continues to shape his heart and direction. Today, Nic seeks to glorify God by bearing fruit a s a disciple‑maker, pursuing God’s Kingdom first in all areas of life. He serves as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Area Director for Northwest Wisconsin and was previously in K-12 education as a teacher, coach, athletic director, curriculum director, and principal. The northwest area has been Nic's home since venturing north in 1996 to become a proud UWRF Falcon. Nic and his wonderful wife of nearly 20 years, Kerrie, are grateful for the blessing of their three active children—Kasey, Danny, and Emily—and are thankful FCA has impacted their children to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Residing in Hammond, they have been involved with FCA in various volunteer roles over the past 20 years as a family and they are excited to serve as God wills.
